Privacy policy

For the Land Assets Manager mobile and web application · Last updated 07 September 2026

The short version. Land Assets Manager does not collect any data about you. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you enter is stored by the app on your own device, and the app is prevented from making network requests at all — so there is nowhere for your records to be sent, even by mistake.

1. Who this policy is from

This policy covers the Land Assets Manager application ("the app"), published by Land Assets Manager ("we", "us"). If you have a question about it, write to support@land-assets-manager.com.

It also covers this website, which is a description of the app. The site loads no fonts, scripts, images or analytics from anywhere else, and sets no cookies. The one thing it stores is your light-or-dark choice, kept in your own browser so the page does not flash white on your next visit.

2. What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, transmit, store, sell or share any personal data or any of your portfolio data. We do not know that you have installed the app, we cannot see what is in it, and we have no way to identify you.

This is not a promise about how carefully we handle your data; it is a consequence of how the app is built. There is no backend service. The app has no code that talks to a server, and its content security policy blocks outbound connections, which is enforced by the operating system's web engine rather than by our good intentions. It runs with the device in airplane mode.

In Apple's App Privacy terms, the app's declaration is Data Not Collected.

3. What the app stores, and where

Everything the app holds is on the device you are using. None of it reaches us or anyone else.

WhatWhere it is keptWhy
Your portfolio The app's local database on the device Parcels, land identifiers, regions, areas, prices, tenants, lease terms, rent payments, sale prices and dates — the records you enter or import.
Your settings The same local database Currencies, investment terms, strategies by year, region and land-type lists, and the company name and logo if you set them.
Device preferences Local browser storage on the device Theme, language, table density, which walkthroughs you have seen. Deliberately kept apart from the portfolio so they do not travel in a backup.
Files you create Wherever you save them Backups, Excel and CSV exports, and the year-in-review PDF. Once written, these are ordinary files under your control.

A logo image or a translation file you add is treated the same way: read on the device, stored on the device, sent nowhere.

4. What the app does not do

  • No account, sign-in, email address or password.
  • No analytics, telemetry, usage statistics or crash reporting.
  • No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party SDKs, tag managers or embedded trackers.
  • No cookies in the app.
  • No access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, health data or photo library. The app does not ask for these permissions because it has no use for them.
  • No background activity. The app does nothing when you are not looking at it.

5. Files you choose to open

When you import an Excel workbook, the app reads it on the device using a spreadsheet library bundled inside the app. The file is not uploaded, and no copy of it leaves the device. The same is true of a backup file you restore.

When you export — to Excel, to CSV, to a JSON backup, or to a PDF of the year in review — the app hands the finished file to your device, and where it goes next is your decision. If you email it, put it in a shared folder or send it to a colleague, that file is then subject to whatever handles it. A backup contains your whole portfolio, which is what makes it worth keeping and worth keeping carefully.

6. Other people's data in your records

A land portfolio usually names tenants, and a tenant may be a person or a company. Those records are yours: you decide what to enter, and the app simply stores it on your device. We never see it and have no relationship with the people named in it. Where you are subject to data protection law — the GDPR, for example — you are the controller of that data, and the app is a tool you use rather than a processor acting for you, because nothing is processed anywhere but on your own device.

7. Deleting your data

There are three ways, and they are all in your hands:

  • Erase everything from inside the app — Settings → Data → Erase all data. This clears the portfolio from the device.
  • Delete the app. On iOS, removing an app removes the data it stored. There is no copy elsewhere to request the deletion of.
  • Delete your own files — any backups or exports you saved, wherever you put them.

Because we hold nothing, there is no data-deletion request to send us, and no account to close. If you would like written confirmation of that for your own records, ask and we will send it.

8. Data retention

We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Your records stay on your device for as long as you keep them there. Note that data stored by an installed app persists until you erase it or remove the app — it is not cleared by the operating system while the app is installed.

9. Children

The app is a tool for managing land investments and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, children included.

10. Security

Your records are protected by the device they are on: its passcode, its biometric lock and its disk encryption. The app adds no separate password, and we want to be straightforward about what that means — the records are stored in the clear on the device, so anyone who can unlock your device can open the app. If that matters to you, use your operating system's own controls: on iOS you can require Face ID or Touch ID for any individual app, which is enforced by the system and is stronger than anything the app could offer for itself.

11. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Since the app makes no network requests, a change here cannot alter an app already installed on your device — a new version would have to be released, and you would have to choose to install it.
